Kennaday peak is a 12,000 foot mountain...

That rises higher than all the other mountains in Medicine Bow National Forest, Near Laramie Wyoming. I was excited to shoot this wedding from the get-go, the words Ron Burgundy of the Anchor Man movie ringing in my memory: "One day Veronica and I are gonna to get married on top of a mountain!" Well, it wasn't Ron and Veronica who got married, but Hannah and Jordan, who were blessed by a beautiful day with miles and miles of vistas all around them.

Hannah and Jordan met in band camp and stayed in love through college and beyond. "Did the winds of Wyoming carry your love away from one another?" I asked. "No," they answered simultaneously, doubtless wondering at the sanity of their photographer.

After the ceremony, we went down to Lake Marie and took some pictures on the shores. The rain had already started by this time, but our young couple was still game for pictures. Sure, we were all soaked by the time the pictures were done, but I for one think they were worth it. Of course, I am a photographer, and I go mad for good pictures, so it makes sense. But they seemed happy with the results too, and in the end that's what matters.
