I really like Chief Hosa Lodge


Built sometime around 1900 and administered by Denver Parks, Chief Hosa Lodge is an affordable venue that doesn't skimp on beauty. Samantha and Derrick are a no-frills couple who Just wanted to marry each other and not have a photographer all up in their business. Which is why they picked me!

I know I sound like a salesman!


Chief Hosa has given me no money, I swear. As a photographer, what I value in a venue is the availability of good places to take pretty pictures, something rarer than I'd like, sadly. Chief Hosa has many large trees, views of mountain vistas, and a good view west towards sunset. Makes for pretty ideal conditions to get good pictures!

But enough about the venue!


Samantha and Derrick are the definition of a chill couple. They traveled for a time in a camper van, and didn't come close to killing each other. They enjoy hiking and spending time together with their dog, and are the type of people who just accumulate people along their journey. I felt blessed to be trusted with capturing their big day.
