From Louisiana to Colorado
Colorado has become a destination wedding location in recent years, especially with Covid. But one thing people should be aware of is the altitude. Matt's a fireman and when I asked him how he was liking Colorado, he said he loved it, but the altitude was making him feel like he was out of shape.
Matt and Laci have been together since being set up on a date 5 years ago. When he proposed a few months ago, it didn't take them long to decide to come to Colorado as a vacation/honeymoon. So they, along with friends and family members, rented a house in Breckenridge.
Originally, their plan was to get married up on Loveland Pass, a beautiful location above timberline on the Continental Divide, but luckily for their extremities, they found a much warmer place to get married at Sapphire Point, which is an overlook over the valley below.
I was charmed by their warm hospitality and that southern drawl. It was a pleasure to be a part of their lives for this day of days, and to capture it so they can relive it as often as they'd like in the years to come.
